I adopted Daisy (10 years old) from our local shelter. Her previous owner passed away, and she was taken to the shelter, scared and grieving. I, too, am a senior and grieving, so we rescued each other.
From his second birthday. We took this photo after training and playing in a lake with some of his other furry hunting buddies. Boone has gone from a stray to a spoiled hunting dog who gets lots of love and many adventures.
Herman’s birthday in 2024. I’d gotten the costume for Cinco de Mayo, but decided his birthday was purrfect for a trial run. He wore the costume like a true champ and looked so adorable! He’s such a character.
Milo’s gotcha day. I went to a local shelter to look at a different dog and didn’t feel a connection until I saw this little guy — so happy to see me in his kennel, tail wagging. Then he was let out and kept dancing. How could I not adopt this sweet boy?
We had just rescued Asta; she was a foster failure. She was living outside in horrible conditions with her siblings, who were also rescued. This photo captured her happiness and enthusiasm for being inside, fed and included in a family.
